I've yet to see it actually work myself, but I am surely hopeful. Man, I hate banana-flies..

1: Cut the top off a soft water bottle just below the curve.

2: Poke 2-3 holes in the lid with a screw driver or something else sharp. Should be big enough for the flies. Put the lid back on the top of the bottle.

3: Pour beer, juice or something else sweet in the bottom half of the bottle and insert the top with the lid down. Seal the edges with tape if necessary.
